African Humanitarian Corps envisions building the capacity of the communities and enhancing participatory and sustainable development by promoting self-reliance and appropriate interventions.
To contribute to the empowerment of communities for sustained development.
To strengthen the organizational policies (operational and programmes) of African Humanitarian Corps to effectively carry out its mandate to achieve its vision, we have developed a programme operations and procedures manual to guides us through our daily operations and programmes.

⮚ Emergency respond through life-saving approach.
⮚ To provide relief as well as improve living standards of communities, including for women, children, returnees and conflict- and emergency-prone populations as well as for the most vulnerable;
⮚ To promote socio-economic development of the community through skills-building in the production and marketing of locally viable products;
⮚ To unite the community in local, regional and global social action for sustainable development through household management capacity building and sensitization on local, regional and global community issues;
⮚ And to engage in such other activities, not prohibited by law, as the Executive
African Humanitarian Corps has an obligation to provide welfare services for its target groups. It is responsible for these individuals to be treated with respect and dignity. It is necessary to observe certain rules of conduct in order to ensure that this responsibility is complied with.
Any African Humanitarian Corps employee or contractor working for African Humanitarian Corps within the framework of emergency relief and development cooperation projects is obliged in his/her working environment to commit and abide by our organizational policies.
